EHLE: A Journey Through Our Rich History

1949

Thomas Ehle's father moved from Thuringia to Limburg with a pocketful of money but full of initiative and ideas, and founded the 'Günther Ehle Glass Instrument Factory', which is today managed by Thomas's cousin and can still be found in our house.

1989

Establishment of the Thomas Ehle Glass Studio.

1994

Thomas successfully passes his master's examination and is now a master glass apparatus maker.

2015

After over 20 years in the same building, there was a merger with Burdich Laborbedarf GmbH & Co. KG. As a result, we are now the largest manufacturer of bongs in Europe.

2016

Cultiva in Wien

Our first trade show appearance after many years: At the (then) most beautiful trade show in Europe, the CULTIVA, just outside Vienna, we exhibit for the first time and thrill the audience with the largest booth in the glass industry, including a black light room.

2019

1. Messe in Las Vegas

Excited and completely impressed by the size of the Champs Tradeshow, we presented our products for the first time at the world's largest fair in the 420 area.

2023

GlassVegas

For the first time, we had the opportunity to exhibit our artworks at the world-renowned GlassVegas and the Champs Tradeshow (both in Las Vegas).
