Workshop in Limburg an der Lahn
Repair Service
You don't throw away a good pipe just because the joint has cracked. We've been repairing glass for decades, mostly our own, in the same workshop where it was made. Send us photos of your piece, our glassblowers take a look, and you get an estimate before anything happens.
How a repair works
-
01
Send photos
Send us a few shots through the form below. Ideally one of the whole pipe and then the break up close, from two angles if you can. The more we see, the more accurate our assessment.
-
02
Our assessment
We go through the case with our glassblowers and get back to you. You'll hear whether the damage can be fixed, how we would approach it and roughly what the repair costs. We give you the exact price once we've had the pipe in our hands.
-
03
Ship the pipe
Send us your pipe thoroughly cleaned, to the address you receive with our reply. Pack it so nothing can shift in transit.
-
04
Annealing and repair
First your pipe goes into the annealing kiln at around 580 degrees so the stress leaves the glass. Then comes the actual work at the flame. Finally the piece goes into the kiln a second time and cools down under control.
-
05
Payment and return
Repairs are settled by advance payment only. Once the work is done we send you an order confirmation with the final amount, and as soon as the payment arrives your pipe goes back to you, well packed, via DHL.
Repairs jump the queue in production. Most pieces ship back within 1 to 3 days.
What we repair
We can do this
- Renew broken or cracked joints
- Reattach broken-off bases
- Replace downstem sockets that have snapped out
- Reshape mouthpieces or extend the pipe back to its original length
- Coloured bowls and diffusers, when the effort is worth it
- ROOR models
This we can't do
- Bent models when it comes to base and mouthpiece repairs. Not feasible in production terms.
- Cracks running deep into the body. The photos decide whether anything is still possible.
- Pipes by other manufacturers. With unfamiliar glass we never know what material was used, and at the flame it can react unpredictably. That's a risk we won't ask our glassblowers to take.
- Plain bowls and downstems. A new part costs less than the labour.

Joint stuck? That one's on us
We can separate stuck joints quickly with our equipment. Please don't force it yourself, the risk of making the damage worse or hurting yourself is too high. We do it free of charge, you only pay the shipping.
We repair ROOR as well
There is one exception to the other-manufacturers rule: ROOR. These bongs were made from high-quality borosilicate glass, and since production has stopped, we help the classics to a second life.
Why we repair ROOR bongsThe most important questions about the repair service
Do you also repair pipes from other manufacturers?
As a rule: No! And for good reasons. Our glassblowers never know what glass was used in third-party pipes – this can be dangerous during processing and does not meet our quality standards.
Economically, repairing inexpensive mass-produced items also makes no sense.
However, there is one important exception: We also repair ROOR brand pipes. Many models were made with high-quality borosilicate glass – and because ROOR is no longer produced, we help give these classics a second life.
👉 You can find all information about this here:
Do you also repair heads or diffusers/hillums?
Economically, it makes no sense to have a "normal" head or "normal" coupling repaired.
However, if you have a colored diffuser or colored head, it might still make sense. Please send us an inquiry using the repair form below!
My scalpel is stuck! What can I do?
We can quickly and easily remove stuck joints here with our equipment. Please do not try to force anything yourself. The risk of unnecessarily increasing the damage or injuring yourself is too great.
By the way: Removing stuck joints is a free service from us.
Can you also give it a fresh polish?
We can restore almost all cuts, usually even without them being visible afterwards. It is important that the crack or break does not extend into the glass body; such damage can sometimes no longer be closed.
My foot broke off. Can it be repaired?
The most important thing here: your pipe must be straight. Unfortunately, for production reasons, we can no longer attach feet to curved models. Here too, there should be no crack running into the glass body, otherwise we have no chance. Feel free to send us a photo and as soon as our glassblowers have reviewed it, we will get back to you.
My mouthpiece is broken. Can it be repaired?
Here we have several options: We can cut off the broken end and shape a new mouthpiece for you. Or we can extend the pipe to its original length, and if you wish, even a little beyond. Please note that there will always be a seam visible - but sometimes that's like a patch on your favorite jeans...
However, we can only work on straight models here as well.
How long does a repair take?
As a rule, repairs in production are always prioritized. This means we can usually resend your beloved item within
1-3 days (provided the repair has been paid for)
What is the procedure, and how can I pay for the repair?
After you have sent us some photos of the pipe and we have discussed the repair with our glassblowers, you will receive a reply from us with an estimated price, provided the pipe/precooler is repairable.
You then send the CLEAN pipe/precooler to us in Limburg an der Lahn. We will first temper it in the oven at approx. 580 degrees to relieve the stress. The actual repair then takes place, before the pipe/precooler has to go into the oven a second time.
As soon as the repair has been successfully completed, we will send you an order confirmation with the request to pay it within 7 days (only bank transfer possible)
After receipt of payment, we will send the item to you via DHL.
Who bears the risk during a repair?
Should a pipe or accessory be broken, this means there is an extreme amount of tension in the glass. Therefore, all items to be repaired are first heated to approx. 580 degrees in our tempering oven to release the tension from the glass!
Nevertheless, it can happen during a repair that the glass part completely shatters as soon as we apply the flame. In this case, we unfortunately cannot accept any liability/warranty and would like to emphasize once again that every repair is always at your own risk! Thank you for your understanding!
