Payment & Shipping
Almost every glass piece we sell is made after you order it – by hand, in our own workshop. Here you'll find everything about payment, packaging and delivery. No small print hidden between the lines.
Payment methods
You can pay in five different ways. All payments run over encrypted SSL connections and are handled by certified payment providers.
- Bank transfer Advance payment. We start production as soon as your payment reaches us.
- Credit card Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
- Klarna Invoice Pay Later. Order first, pay afterwards.
- Klarna Instalments Split the amount into several instalments.
- Klarna Instant Transfer Pay Now. Direct transfer from your online banking.

If you choose advance payment, we'll send you the bank details again by email after your order. Please add your order number to the transfer so we can match the payment right away and pass your order straight on to our glassblowers.
Why no PayPal?
PayPal decided to stop working with headshops. That's not a decision we can influence, and we think it's the wrong one. We hope you'll stick with us anyway and pick one of our other payment methods.
Your payment details are never stored on our side. You pay the way you're used to – securely and without any fuss.
Shipping costs
We ship exclusively with DHL – within Germany, across the EU and beyond.

All prices in our shop include German VAT and exclude shipping costs. The exact shipping cost for your order is shown in the cart before you complete it.
Deliveries outside the EU
For shipments to countries outside the EU, customs duties, import VAT and other charges may apply. These costs are not included in the shipping price and are collected directly from you by the authorities in your country. The amount is set by your customs office, not by us. Please check with the responsible customs authority before ordering.
Delivery time
Grinders, papers and standard bowls sit ready on our shelves. But as soon as you choose a carb hole, a joint size, a logo or accessories for a bong, your piece is genuinely made only then, at the torch. That's why delivery times differ from item to item.
You'll find the specific delivery time on each product page. With advance payment it starts on the day your payment reaches us – from then on the order goes automatically to our glassblowers.
If a piece takes longer than expected, we'll get in touch. We'd rather give you an honest date than a fast promise.
Discreet shipping
Every parcel leaves us completely neutral. The DHL label shows Burdich Laborbedarf GmbH & Co. KG as the sender – no reference to bongs, glass art or EHLE. Only Thomas Ehle as contact person gives away where the parcel comes from, and only to those who know.
So neither your neighbours nor the courier will know what you ordered from us.
Packaging
Glass and parcel tape have a tense relationship, so we deliberately overdo things here. After more than 37 years of shipping glass we know what matters: better a box one size too big than too small, better a handful of padding too much than too little.
Yes, the paper padding is annoying to unpack. But it fills every gap reliably, absorbs impact and stops anything from moving inside the box. It's made from 100 % recycled material.
Damage is extremely rare because of that. And if something does arrive broken, send us a few photos and we'll find a solution together.
Tracking
You'll receive a tracking number with every order so you can follow your parcel at any time. One note: DHL uploads the first tracking data no earlier than 4:30 pm on the day of dispatch. Before that the tracking shows nothing, even though your parcel is already on its way.
DHL Packstation and preferred location
You can have your order delivered to a DHL Packstation. Just enter your Postnummer during checkout and select the Packstation as the delivery address. A preferred drop-off location also works – you set that up directly in your DHL account.
Pick-up in Limburg
You're welcome to collect your order from us and take a look into the production while you're here. Important: call us beforehand and arrange a time. Otherwise you might be standing at the door while your piece is still at the torch.

Returns and right of withdrawal
For standard items you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Products made to your specification are excluded under § 312g (2) no. 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB). That includes bongs with a chosen carb hole, joint size, logo or accessories, accessories from colour sections, middle parts such as downstems and diffusers, and full custom pieces.
After your written withdrawal you return the item at your own cost. Once we've checked it, we issue a credit note and refund the amount to your original payment method. All details are in our withdrawal policy: Withdrawal policy
