Sandblasting is a process in which the glass surface is treated with fine abrasive material. This creates a matte, velvety surface – or, with a stencil, a precise logo or pattern. Sandblasting is the classic method for integrated logos on bongs.
How does sandblasting work?
Under pressure, fine abrasive material is propelled against the glass. Where it strikes, the smooth surface is roughened and matted. This can be precisely controlled with a stencil: The covered areas remain glossy, while the exposed areas become matte. This creates sharp logos, lettering, and patterns.
What is sandblasting used for?
- Logos & Lettering – permanently integrated into the glass.
- Matte Surfaces – for an elegant, velvety look.
- Patterns & Motifs – decorative design.
Sandblasting at EHLE.
Many of our pieces feature sandblasted logos or motifs – durable, scratch-resistant, and elegant, because they are part of the glass and not printed. This can also be implemented for a custom order with your own logo.
