Bong accessories
Buy Bong Accessories – Custom-Fit Glass from the Manufacturer
A bong is only as good as its individual parts. Downstems, diffusers, adapters, and screens determine airtightness, draw, and filtration – and this is precisely where quality separates from mass-produced goods. We largely produce our bong accessories ourselves from thick-walled borosilicate glass, with precision joints that fit and seal tightly. This way, you get out of your bong what it was built for.
The Most Important Accessories at a Glance
- Downstem – the connecting tube that directs the smoke from the bowl into the water. Without it, nothing works.
- Diffuser – a slotted or perforated downstem that breaks the smoke into fine bubbles: more cooling, smoother draw.
- Adapter – bridges different joint sizes, such as from NS 14.5 to NS 18.8.
- Screens – hold back the material so nothing slips through.
- Pre-cooler – an additional chamber for even more cooling.
Why Accessories from a Glassblower?
With inexpensive purchased accessories, the joint often doesn't fit properly – then nothing sits right, it draws in ambient air, or it wobbles. We manufacture our downstems, diffusers, and adapters ourselves and grind them to a precise fit. Thick-walled borosilicate glass withstands temperature changes and daily use significantly better than thin glass. You'll notice it with every puff.
How to Find the Right Part
The most important value is the joint size. Measure the diameter of your bong's joint connection – or check if NS 14.5 or NS 18.8 is indicated. Accessories and bowls must fit the same joint; if not, an adapter helps. If you are unsure, just ask us briefly.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bong Accessories
What is the difference between a downstem and a diffuser?
A downstem is the straight connecting tube into the water. A diffuser is a downstem with slots or holes that break the smoke into fine bubbles – this cools and filters significantly better.
What joint size do I need?
That depends on your bong: NS 14.5 or NS 18.8. Accessories and bowls must fit the same joint. An adapter bridges the gap if necessary.
What is an adapter good for?
If the bowl and bong have different joints, an adapter connects the two – this way you can also use accessories of a different size.
What does a pre-cooler do?
A pre-cooler is an additional chamber between the bowl and the bong that passes the smoke through water again – for an even smoother, cooler draw.
Carb hole or diffuser – which cools better?
These are two different things: The carb hole draws in fresh air at the end, the diffuser cools the smoke during the draw. For smooth smoke, the diffuser is crucial.
How do I clean the accessories?
Like your bong: rinse promptly with warm water, soak in cleaner if necessary. Slotted parts are best shaken with a little cleaner.
Do your accessories also fit other bongs?
As long as the joint size is correct, yes. Our joints are standard (NS 14.5 / NS 18.8) and fit most bongs.
