A Reclaimer is an attachment or system used during dabbing to collect residue – known as reclaim – so that you can reuse it. Unlike a simple Reclaim Catcher, the focus here is on collecting and recycling the material.

What is Reclaim?

When dabbing, not everything evaporates completely. Some of the concentrate re-condenses and settles as a viscous, dark mass. While this reclaim is less aromatic than fresh material, it still contains active ingredients – too good to throw away.

How does a Reclaimer work?

The reclaimer is positioned on the oil rig so that the condensed reclaim flows directly into a container, instead of spreading throughout the rig. Some systems use a removable glass vessel where the material collects and from which you can later remove it.

How to reuse Reclaim?

  • Dab again – as a less intense but effective dab.
  • Collect – over time, a good amount accumulates.
  • Process further – some use it for other preparations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Reclaimer and a Reclaim Catcher?
Both catch reclaim. "Reclaim Catcher" emphasizes catching to protect the rig, "Reclaimer" emphasizes collecting and reusing.

Is Reclaim still effective?
Yes, weaker than fresh concentrate, but not ineffective.

Does Reclaim taste different?
Yes, usually stronger and less aromatic because the terpenes have already evaporated.

Does a Reclaimer keep my rig clean?
Yes, the collected reclaim does not end up in the water – a clear maintenance advantage.
